The Membership Committee works to build bridges within the multidisciplinary GI clinician community to facilitate networking to collaborate with SAIA to improve patient care, host professional events, and advance research. This committee is led by Dr. Reezwana Chowdhury, MD, FACG.
Reezwana Chowdhury, MD, FACG
Reezwana Chowdhury, MD, FACG is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She is an Inflammatory Bowel Disease Specialist, with a focus on women’s health and pregnancy and interest in intestinal bowel ultrasound. She is the Director of the upcoming Intestinal Bowel Ultrasound program at Johns Hopkins and the Director of the ‘Well-Being and Resilience’ committee of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Division at Johns Hopkins. She has published articles on Pregnancy and women’s health in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She is the Chair of the Public Relations Committee for the American College of Gastroenterology, actively involved with the ASGE and a member of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease special interest group. She serves as an Associate Editor of the journal, Crohn’s & Colitis 360. She has effectively combined her passion for patient care, colorectal cancer awareness and running to organize several patient-physician events to enhance public awareness around CRC.
